LOW COST MIXING... HOW ?
I mix your music at the highest professional standard for a fraction of the cost of hiring a recording studio. How? Unattended sessions are flexible and take less time. I save time, you save money! This service is online only... telephone customer service is not offered.

WHAT'S THE PROCEDURE?
1) Place your order and pay securely via PayPal® (all cards accepted)
2) Send your files to info@doctormix.co.uk with We Transfer
3) After a few days you'll receive a draft mix, so you can tell me if you want tweaks or changes to the mix.
4) Then you'll receive a final Mp3 for approval... If you don't LOVE it you get a full refund, no questions asked.
5) After you have approved the mix you'll get your full quality master!

Remember you only get ONE set of tweaks included in the price, any additional set of changes is charged as an additional mix.

WHAT KIND OF MASTERING WILL I GET?
I will finalize your mixes to make them sound loud and full, like a proper commercial release. For albums I will also make sure the level of each song is consistant throughout the album. For now, I can't give you a full Red Book compliant production master with ISRC codes and all that. Maybe in the future ;-)

WHEN WILL MY MIX BE READY?
It will typically take 4-10 working days for one track, 20-30 for an album. I can give a more precise estimate after I verify and audition your files (you can send it in beforehand for evaluation, no obbligation).

CAN YOU CORRECT MY VOCALS OR MAKE MY TRACKS SOUND TIGHTER?
Absolutely yes. I know all the tricks and can make your sound so tight it'll scare you ;-) We use AutoTune®, Melodyne® and Ableton Live® in the editing process. Choose your editing package from the order page.

CAN YOU REMIX MY SONG?
Sure, I'd love to! Remixing is one of my favourite things to do. Just choose a style or a reference track, and I'll give you a remix that will knock your socks off! You can choose this package even to just add one or more instruments onto your mix. Please send an email before ordering.

HOW DO I PREPARE A SESSION FOR MIXING?
Pro Tools sessions are preferable: make sure you label every track and that all relevant audio files are included.
Otherwise you'll have to prepare separate files:

1. Solo and export (bounce) each individual track from bar 1 so that all files line up properly, making sure you use the same bit rate and sample rate as the recording session.
2. Turn EQ, compression, and preferably all plugins off. If there is an EFX you particularly like (maybe a weird delay?) please export it alone on a separate track.
3. You can leave other EFX on(e.g. flanger,chorus, etc.) but remember, they will stay in the mix!
4. Organize and label all files and put them into a folder.
5. Rename the folder with the song title and its tempo (BPM).

HOW WILL I RECEIVE THE FINISHED MASTER?
After you have received and approved the final draft on mp3 (snippets for "Mastering Only"), you'll receive an email containing a link to your final full quality master. Remember, once the final master is delivered you can't claim money back anymore.

HOW GOOD WILL MY MUSIC SOUND?
I will make your music sound at the BEST of its potentials. My team of sound engineers and I have many years experience in professional music production. But don't forget, we're talking about art here and you're the artist! Put it this way: if your music is good, I'll make it sound superb; if your music is bad, I'll make it sound OK :-)
